Sanjay Anandaram
Sanjay is a founding Partner of JumpStartUp Venture Fund, one of the earliest early stage US-India cross border VC funds set up in 2000. Outside of JumpStartUp, he mentors and occasionally invests in startups and advises VC funds. He's also on the board of Maya Organic India Private Ltd, a social entrepreneurship startup.

As a passionate advocate of entrepreneurship, he writes and speaks frequently nationally and internationally on entrepreneurship, startups and VC. His column Indipreneur is published in the Financial Express and on startup blogs. He's involved with TiE Bangalore (as Charter Member and co-chair of the TiE Entrepreneur Acceleration Programme), Nasscom (as part of the Product and Innovation group), with IIM-B (as member of the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning), with INSEAD (as Adjunct Faculty teaching the Business Plan Workshop elective).

Sanjay has close to two decades of industry experience including significant international experience involving new business creation and business development in India, US, Asia, Middle-East and Africa. Prior to founding JumpStartUp, Sanjay co-founded Neta Inc., a venture capital backed Silicon Valley software startup that was acquired by Infoseek (Disney). Subsequently, Sanjay returned to India and founded VentureKatalyst, India's first online publication aimed at entrepreneurs.

Before Neta, Sanjay spent many years with Wipro (NYSE:WIT). At Wipro, he was responsible for creating and driving several pioneering initiatives that resulted in the creation of extremely successful businesses. He also established a "product design lab for hire" in Silicon Valley in 1994 that undertook leading edge turnkey product development and engineering for startups and large companies. In 1996, as part of Wipro's corporate development efforts, he wrote the business plan that led to the creation of a healthcare domain focused IT solutions practice. Earlier, Sanjay was responsible for channel and OEM sales in Africa, Middle-East and the Far East. He started his IT industry career in sales for Wipro in India.

Sanjay holds a Bachelors (with Honours) degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Calcutta and a MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

K. Ganapathy Subramanian
Ganapathy is a founding Partner of JumpStartUp-I. At JumpStartUp, Ganapathy led the investments (and exits) in CustomerAsset and Smartcc and served on their boards. Currently he serves on the boards of Apnaloan, NetDevices (India) and Meru Networks (India) and is a board observer at July Systems. Ganapathy also oversees the Fund operations and investor relations.

Ganapathy has over 15 years industry experience including 11 years of life cycle experience in Venture Capital investing in India and US. His area of focus has been investments in young and high growth companies in the software and services industries. Ganapathy has held active board member in several technology companies and has assisted the companies successfully execute strategic initiatives like spin-offs, acquisitions, sale, IPO and additional financings. Over his 11 years as a VC, Ganapathy has been directly involved in over 30 investments and 12 exits.

Prior to founding JumpStartUp in 2000, Ganapathy served as Group Manager of Private Equity Investments (Information Technology) at ICICI Venture, India's leading venture capital firm. Ganapathy played a lead role in the formulation and implementation of the Software Fund, one of the most successful funds in India (4.6X, IRR: 180%). Ganapathy also made significant contributions to the formulation and execution of the investment plan of ICICI Venture's first offshore fund in partnership with US based Trust Company of West (TCW). Prior to ICICI Venture, he worked for Marico Industries Limited and Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Limited.

Ganapathy is well networked in the VC and financial community in the Indian markets and leads efforts in catalysing the development of an ecosystem through various industry associations. Ganapathy graduated with Honours in Chemical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirapalli and has an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India.

Kiran Nadkarni
Kiran is a founding Partner of JumpStartUp. He has been a pioneer in the Indian VC industry and brings over 14 years' experience in early stage investing. He has managed three funds through their entire life cycles and has been instrumental in handsome wealth creation for entrepreneurs and investors.

He is a regular speaker at various venture capital conferences and is on the advisory/special committees of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Over The Counter Exchange of India (OTCEI) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). He was also the founding chairman of the Indian Venture Capital Association.

Since 1995, Kiran has been with Draper International, a San Francisco based venture capital firm, which pioneered Silicon Valley style early stage investing in India. As one of the India-based partners of Draper International, he helped establish the company as the leading early stage venture capital firm in India. The Draper International fund is fully invested and is expected to provide extremely attractive returns to investors. At Draper International, Kiran was responsible for initiating deals such as Rediff.com, Geometric Software, Neta and Yantra.

Prior to joining Draper International, Kiran was with ICICI Venture (then called TDICI), the venture capital subsidiary of ICICI. He founded this in 1986 and was their President and CEO till 1994. Some of his successful investments include Praj Industries, VXL Instruments, Mastek, Microland, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Hical Magnetics.

He was also part of ICICI's early team and was involved in lending to key industrial sectors. Kiran is an engineer from IIT-Kanpur and holds a Diploma in Management Studies from Bombay University.
